Gilgunnia Landcare Group formed in 1996 and since it’s inception has undertaken a range of projects including; a trip to New Zealand to look at sustainable agriculture enterprises, Invasive Native Scrub control projects and rabbit control projects. More recently the group undertook a Cluster Fence project, the first of it’s type in NSW. The Cluster Fence involved 22 landholders erecting 210 km of fencing enclosing 177,000 hectares. The project will provide important long-term improvements in managing pest animals and controlling grazing pressure.
