The Euston Regional Landcare Group is about people coming together to deliver sustainable agricultural and environmental projects. The group will offer training to members while concentrating resources toward wide spread farm management issues.
This Landcare Group is a conduit for educational workshops such as:
- low stress stock handling (working dog school)
- plant ID
- public speaking
- baiting and trapping
- grant writing
- mapping
- mental health awareness
The locality of Euston, like pretty much the rest of the planet, has it’s fair share of pests and weeds. As a team the group can contribute to a large area and utilise coordinated management techniques to have a greater effect on invasive species. This approach will also be a more cost effective way for members to source tools and supplies.
By getting involved members have the opportunity to learn how to run a small organisation; developing their governance and leadership skills.
If you or anyone else you know is interested in joining the group please give them a like on their Facebook page @EustonRegionalLandcare or contact Scott Leslie on 0458 914 005.
